Glee star Darren Criss recently gave a free solo concert in New York City at the eBay Toy Box to encourage people to donate to Toys for Tots this holiday season, a donation which eBay will match.

"It's very simple -- when you donate a toy to Toys for Tots, eBay will also match that toy, and basically give that to another child because a lot of kids want the same toy," Darren explains. "So when you're donating one toy for Toys for Tots, you're essentially giving two toys, which is pretty nifty."

Toys for Tots distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.

"We really want to showcase our ability to allow people to donate on the go, anytime, anywhere," says eBay's Karina Sokolovsky. "You can easily download to Toys for Tots through your mobile device. Here in New York, you can come up to the tree and you can scan the QR code and donate to a child in need, and eBay will match the donation."
