The Korean sensation garnered nearly a billion hits for the surprising hit in just six months to gain the distinction, according to the video sharing channel.

And what better way to help celebrate the year in YouTube sensations than with Rewind YouTube Style, which features the website's biggest stars acting out a parody of Gangnam Style and another breakout song, Call Me Maybe. The video was shot at the new YouTube Space in Los Angeles, a place for YouTube creators to come learn, collaborate, and create great content to put up on their YouTube channels.
