Top Hollywood stars including Beyonce, Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow, Courteney Cox, Jon Hamm and many others join forces in a newly released PSA urging urgent action to end gun violence in the United States.

The video -- part of a campaign called Demand a Plan -- begins with the celebrities naming the sites of past gun massacres in the United States, ending with the latest horrific tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut.

The stars -- including Jon Hamm, Christina Applegate, Zooey Deschanel, Steve Carell, John Legend and Ellen DeGeneres -- each then say a few words to make up the PSA's message that "now is the time" for Americans to stand up and demand change to insure there will be "no more lists of names" of massacre victims.

The "Demand A Plan" campaign was launched Friday by the organization Mayors Against Illegal Guns, which names three specific objectives on its website:

1) Require a criminal background check for every gun sold in America.
2) Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines.
3) Make gun trafficking a federal crime, including real penalties for "straw purchasers."
