William Shatner Tweets to Space

Once again, William Shatner has gone where no man has gone before. The Star Trek star began tweeting to Canadian astronaut Commander Chris Hadfield while he was in space.

"Are you tweeting from space?" the Captain Kirk actor, 81, asked the astronaut on Thursday. "Yes," Hadfield replied. "Standard Orbit, Captain. And we're detecting signs of life on the surface."

Hadfield is known for his space tweets and followed up his conversation with the Enterprise's captain by tweeting a funny photo with the caption: "The last time @WilliamShatner and I met was in another dimension - 2D."
