Actor Taye Diggs took matters in his own hands last night when an intruder tried to break into his home.
Officers responded to a burglary call at Diggs' Studio City, CA at around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday evening, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed Monday to ET.
After police arrived, they determined that Diggs -- who earlier in the evening attended the Screen Actors Guild Awards -- had apprehended a burglar who broke into his home. The intruder taken into custody was identified as 20-year old Hassan Juma, the LAPD said.
Last August a similar incident occurred when actor/rapper LL Cool J confronted a man who had entered his home in the middle of the night. The intruder suffered a broken nose, jaw and ribs after a scuffle with the star and was later charged with first-degree burglary.
