Demi Moore, 50, has formally filed divorce papers in response to Ashton Kutcher's previous filing in December, in which she seeks spousal support and also requests that Kutcher pay her legal bills.

In the papers filed Thursday, she lists their separation date as November 17, 2011, and cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce.

According to The New York Post, Demi filed her own papers after she was "tired" of trying to reach a confidential settlement with Kutcher. According to the report, she had previously been hoping to quietly negotiate a settlement and then file the papers once an agreement was reached, but now, the couple's divorce could go to a trial.

And clearly, there's a lot of money on the line -- Forbes named Kutcher, 35, the highest-paid actor on TV in 2012 thanks to his Two and a Half Men gig for which he reportedly earned $24 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

Ashton and Demi began their May-December relationship in 2003 and married in 2005. In 2010, infidelity rumors about Ashton started to swirl, and on November 17, 2011, Demi took to Twitter to announce her plans to divorce her husband.

Both appear to have moved on following their split, specifically Kutcher, who first publicly stepped out with his That '70s Show co-star Mila Kunis last spring.
