Justin Bieber was caught on tape getting into an expletive-laden verbal altercation with paparazzi in London on Thursday, but reached out to his fans to say he'll be channeling his "adrenaline" on stage during a planned performance Friday night.
After being baited by insult-hurling photographers outside his hotel in London, the 19-year-old pop star responded with his own expletive-filled rant and lunged toward the paparazzi before being restrained by his security personnel.
The incident followed a concert Thursday at London's O2 Arena during which Bieber experienced shortness of breath and had to be treated backstage with oxygen before returning 20 minutes later to finish his set. The singer addressed the health episode on his Twitter page
. "Getting better. thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world. figuring out what happened. thanks for the love," he said.
The star also referenced the paparazzi confrontation and indicated that things were still on track for Friday's concert. "Ahhhhh! Rough morning. Trying to feel better for this show tonight but let the paps get the best of me..." he tweeted.
"Sometimes when people r shoving cameras in your face all day and yelling the worst thing possible at u...well I'm human. Rough week," he said. "Not gonna let them get the best of me again. Gonna get focused on this show tonight. Adrenaline is high now. Gonna put it on the stage."
The latest incidents cap a difficult week for Bieber as he continues his worldwide Believe tour. On Monday he was forced to apologize to outraged fans who accused him of taking the stage two hours late for his first concert at London's O2 Arena. He later insisted that he was only 40 minutes late and blamed the delay on unspecified "technical issues."
