Lindsay Avoids Jail Time, Strikes Plea Deal

Lindsay Lohan avoided jail time at her latest court appearance Monday despite arriving to court almost an hour late, striking a plea deal that will send her to rehab for 90 days.

In addition to going to rehab for three months in a locked facility -- meaning she will not be allowed to leave even with a permission slip -- she will also be required to perform 30 days of community labor and undergo psychotherapy for 18 months. She must also submit to drug testing.

After her court appearance, Lohan went to the world famous Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel for lunch.

Earlier today, Mr. Pink Ginseng Drink chartered their private jet for Lohan, which was diverted to Atlantic Aviation at LAX in an effort to get her to her court hearing on time. LAX is closer to her court appointment than Van Nuys airport, where the Raytheon Hawker 800 she was aboard was originally scheduled to land.

The plane touched down at 8:38 a.m. PT, eight minutes after she was scheduled in court. As of 8:58 a.m., Lohan was making her way from the airport to the courthouse. She arrived at 9:18 a.m.

Lindsay was scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. PT in a Los Angeles courtroom near LAX. She faced one misdemeanor count each of reckless driving, providing false information to an officer and willfully resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer, all while she remains on probation for shoplifting.

The charges stem from a June 18, 2012 car accident in which her Porsche rear-ended a truck as she traveled to the set of her Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick. Lindsay claimed following the accident that she hadn't been driving and that her assistant Gavin was in fact the driver.
