Daniel Radcliffe's Nerve-Wracking Empire Awards

ET caught up with an adorably nervous Daniel Radcliffe at Sunday's Jameson Empire Awards in London, where he won the Empire Hero Award for his fearless career choices so far.

"I'm very excited, [but] I always get slightly nervous before these things because you know, there's lots of people, and lots of people I admire and sort of look up to," he admitted. "So yeah, it's always slightly nerve-wracking but I'm sure I'll settle down before I go inside."

Helen Mirren, who received the Legend Award presented to her by Avengers star Tom Hiddleston, revealed that the Empire Awards is one of her favorite events to attend.

"The way an awards ceremony is run, the kind of people, the kind of food you eat, the vibe -- each one has its different sort of character and this one is very, very special," she said. "In my experience, it's always been really, really fun so we always enjoy coming to this one."

And about receiving the prestigious Legend Award?

"I'm getting an award for being very, very old," she joked.

ET also presented this year's Best Male Newcomer Award, which went to The Impossible star Tom Holland.

"It means a lot because it was voted on by the people, not just the critics, which is something that's very important to everyone," the breakout star told ET.

And clearly, he's not letting his 16-year-old duties get in the way of his big night.

"Yeah I got school tomorrow morning, physical theater in the morning which is going to be very difficult, but still, I'm not gonna go home early because it's gonna be a great night."
