The irony of Kim Kardashian's role in Tyler Perry's Temptation was not lost on the 32-year-old reality-star-turned-actress, and she opened up about the experience in a sit-down with ET's Rocsi Diaz.
Kardashian portrayed an assistant to a marriage counselor for Tyler Perry's latest big screen offering, all the while struggling with her own infamous split with ex Kris Humphries.
"I knew from what Tyler's reputation was that I would feel very comfortable and confident in the role," Kardashian said about making the decision to come on board with the film. She will next see her ex in court on May 6.
Perry had experience in dealing with actors going through adverse times in their lives. Why Did I Get Married Too?, starring Janet Jackson, filmed shortly after Michael Jackson's tragic passing.
"It was very important that [Kardashian] had a place to just go and work and let go and forget everything," said Perry. "I don't think it was any coincidence at all that she was doing a movie [originally] called The Marriage Counselor while she's going through a divorce, and I think that it all helped her work her way through it and get to the place where she is now."
Where she is now is pregnant with boyfriend Kanye West's child. Kardashian has remained tight-lipped on the baby's gender, but she did tell Rocsi that the couple is contemplating giving birth in Paris.
Between her mother Kris and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe, the mommy-to-be has plenty of experts around to give her pregnancy advice, but Kardashian admitted that her road hasn't been without small surprises.
"I've had a different pregnancy than them," said Kardashian. "So, I am praying to God that my delivery is at least like there's -- easy and healthy. That's all you can really hope for."
Tyler Perry's Temptation opens Friday.
