Jason Segel has added another notch on his belt. The How I Met Your Mother star is now a young adult novelist! Could his book series be the next Twilight or Hunger Games?
During a Q&A following a screening of his 2008 movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall, on Thursday night (via Best Week Ever), Segel revealed that he had bought back a script he wrote at age 21, and turned it into a book series. The actor admits that he sold the script for "super cheap" and was worried that upon buying back the material that he wouldn't get a deal. "As I got more successful I kept hoping they wouldn't realize I was the same Jason Segel as the Jason Segel they bought the script from," the Muppets star joked.
So, what's this book series all about? Segel played vague, saying, "It's about kids facing their biggest fears, that's about all I can tell you."
Though the books don't offer up a title just yet, Segel expects the series to be released later this year.
