Will.i.am sat down with ET on Sunday to dish on the new partnership between his innovative environmental initiative, Ekocycle, and the NBA. Read on to find out how you can become a part of the solution by living a more environmentally responsible lifestyle.
Ekocycle, according to their website, "inspires the brands you love to create products made in part from recycled materials." By purchasing products from these brands (Ekocycle, founded by Will.i.am with Coca-Cola, has partnerships that include Levi's, NEW ERA, MCM, RVCA, adidas and Beats by Dr. Dre), you're helping cut down on waste.
Through NBA Green Week (April 4-12) fans are invited to participate in an open dialogue over Twitter through the hashtag #NBAEkocycle. Will.i.am described it as "a conversation about what are we doing in America and on this planet."
While saving the world remains a top will.i.am's priority list these days, a close second is his upcoming album #willpower, which drops April 23.
"There's a lot of songs on this record that I'm nervous about," admitted will.i.am, who has been working on this project for more than a year. "The song with Miley Cyrus, Fall Down -- I'm really proud of that."
Fellow Black Eyed Peas member Fergie has also been working on a big project -- becoming a mommy. Watch the video to hear what will.i.am thinks of the baby news.
