Nick Lachey Recalls 'Mysterious' Date With Kim K.
Nick Lachey tells Details magazine that before Kim Kardashian was a huge reality star, she already knew how to work the press to her advantage. Case in point, their first date.
Details' Matt Belloni brings up that in Kardashian Konfidential, Kim, 32, credits a 2006 date with Lachey, 39, to catapulting her to fame. "That's one way to interpret it," the 98 Degrees singer recalls. "Let's just say this: We went to a movie. No one followed us there. Somehow, mysteriously, when we left, there were 30 photographers waiting outside. [Laughs] There are certain ways to play this game, and some people play it well."
When Belloni adds that she had some help from her sex tape, Lachey quips, "Yeah, well, that was already in the can."
Before Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Lachey had a popular reality show of his own with his ex-wife Jessica Simpson titled Newlyweds. So, can we ever expect a reunion show? "No," Lachey tells Details. "They probably know better than that."
