"There are so many things going on in the world right now. They do bring you sadness and you do wonder why these things are happening. You have to still know that there is still good in the world," said former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland. "And you can be one of those good people that contributes great positive energy to the rest of the world."

Rowland, along with Michelle Williams, John Mayer, Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson and Dave Grohl shared the evening with Rock and Roll legends like Neil Diamond, Bruce Sudano, and Cheech and Chong to honor the induction of their fellow rockers into the Hall of Fame.

Inducted during the evening were Rush, rap group Public Enemy, disco queen Donna Summer, blues man Albert King, legendary producer Lou Adler, Randy Newman, Quincy Jones and Heart.

"It's a good thing that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction is in the middle of this horrific time because it will remind people of what's good," said Ann Wilson of the dynamic duo Heart.

On that positive note, attendees were excited to not only be honored but also do the honoring.

"She has made such an impact on so many people's lives from her lyrics to her story. From She Worked Hard for the Money to the first time we heard her open up her mouth and say Love to Love You Baby we've been wowed by her," Rowland said of the late Donna Summer.
Posthumously accepting for Summer was her husband, Bruce Sudano and her three daughters.

"Her legacy is that you can live a very creative life, be a very creative artist, and still have a balanced life, and family, and maintain your marriage. We were married for almost 32 years and we rock and rolled."

Performances by Usher, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Hudson honored the remaining inductees throughout the evening.
