Jimmy Fallon: I'm Thankful to Jay Leno

ET caught up with a few of the "100 Most Influential People in the World" at Tuesday Night's Time 100 Gala in New York City, where late night hosts Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel joked about both making the prestigious list.

"He's [Jimmy Kimmel] higher on the list than me, and that makes me upset -- the magazine's out, but online I can change it. I'm friends with hackers," Fallon joked. "I'm going to make sure I'm on the list higher than Kimmel."

On a more serious note, Fallon dished on his headline-making new gig -- replacing Jay Leno on The Tonight Show.

"I'm just happy to bring it back [to NYC]. I think it brings a spirit and a class to it -- that's where it actually started so it's gonna be fun," he says about the show's big move.

He also expressed appreciation for his predecessor.

"I'm just honored and lucky and thankful for Jay Leno for holding court and keeping it number one for all these years or else I wouldn't have a job."

Kimmel also expressed some good will towards Fallon.

"I'm very happy for him. I think he's earned it and it will be a good move for NBC and I'm glad he's staying in New York so I can have LA all to myself," he told ET.

He also couldn't believe the two of them made the Time list.

"I like that we're both on the list, and I don't know why we're both on the list," he joked. "I mean the word influential is .. I mean, there are people who have armies. I don't have that."
