How Star-Studded Fundraiser Helps Cancer Patients

Our Brooke Anderson will host the 20th anniversary EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women along with Halle Berry, Julie Bowen and Andy Garcia in Los Angeles on Saturday. She sat down with cancer researcher Dr. Dennis Slamon to learn more about how the funds raised will impact cancer research and treatment.

Dr. Slamon, the acclaimed director of the Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program at the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center in Los Angeles, worked for 12 years with a team of researchers to develop the revolutionary breast cancer drug Herceptin. In addition to scores of other accolades, President Bill Clinton appointed Slamon to the three-member President's Cancer Panel in 2000.

Watch the video to learn about how the EIF Revlon Run/Walk will help cancer patients, and to see Dr. Slamon take Brooke on a tour of his lab.
