Jennifer Lawrence Almost Catches Fire

In The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Jennifer Lawrence plays the "Girl On Fire," but at the 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival, her on-screen name almost became a reality.

While at a party for the second installment in the franchise on Saturday, the 22-year-old Oscar winner and her Hunger Games co-star Liam Hemsworth, 23, nearly caught fire when a plate of candles fell on top of the two stars, Us Weekly reports.

Hemsworth and Lawrence were sitting on a sofa in the VIP section when an 8-foot column with a platter of lit candles fell down on top of them. Fortunately, both stars jumped out of the way in time, and remained uninjured, laughing off the situation.

Regardless, Lawrence still managed to light up the room in a stunning strapless white Christian Dior dress with floral detail on the side, paired with bright pink Manolo Blahnik stilettos.
