EXCLUSIVE: Voight On Angelina's Double Mastectomy

Jon Voight is speaking out about his daughter Angelina Jolie's decision to have a double mastectomy to reduce her chances of getting breast cancer.

"She's a very brave person and I love her deeply. I'm always going to be at her side," Voight tells ET. "She handles herself very well. She says what she wants to say now."

He also expressed a fondness for her fiancé Brad Pitt, who he says has been supportive of her choice.

"You want your children to be surrounded by love and I like Brad very much," he says.

Jolie, 38, revealed in May that she underwent a preventive double mastectomy in an op-ed piece for The New York Times. Her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, fought ovarian cancer for almost a decade before dying from the disease at 56 years old.
