1. Born July 14, 1960 in Dolton, Illinois -- her mother was a homemaker and secretary and her father a banker. 
2. In contrast to her glee club-hating character, during her high school years she participated in choir and even performed in some school musicals.
3. This Is Spinal Tap writer Christopher Guest cast her in Best in Show in 2000 after directing her in a Kellogg's Frosted Flakes commercial.
4. Among her all-time favorite movies are The Big Lebowski, Zoolander and Private Benjamin.
5. Played TV icon Carol Brady in The Real Live Brady Bunch while touring with the Second City comedy troupe.
