Food Network chef Paula Deen, who has come under fire recently for admitting in a deposition that she has used the N-word in the past, has released a video to apologize.
"I want to apologize to everybody for the wrong that I've done," she says. "I want to learn and grow from this. Inappropriate, hurtful language is totally, totally unacceptable."
A teary-eyed Deen also asked for forgiveness.
"I beg for your forgiveness," she says in the noticeably edited video. "Please forgive me for the mistakes that I've made."
Deen canceled a live interview with the Today show Friday morning, her team citing exhaustion.
UPDATE: Paula Deen has taken down the original video and replaced it with a longer, unedited apology also explaining the last-minute cancellation of her Today show appearance. Watch it above.
