Gaga & Oprah Top Forbes' List of Top Celebs

Their were no real surprises when Forbes announced its latest 14th annual Celebrity 100 rankings of the world's most powerful celebrities on Wednesday -- with media mogul Oprah Winfrey edging out Lady Gaga for the No. 1 spot. 

Forbes estimates that Winfrey -- who regained the top spot in 2013 after placing second the past two years -- had combined earnings of $77 million over the past year, while Gaga garnered $80 million.

Also taking top spots on the list -- which takes into account earnings over the last 12 months as well as social networking power, marketability and how often the celebrities were mentioned in print and on TV -- were Lincoln director Steven Spielberg at No. 3 ($100 million), Beyonce in fourth ($53 million), Madonna at No. 5 ($125 million) and Taylor Swift in sixth place ($55 million).

Rounding out the top ten were Bon Jovi ($79 million), tennis star Roger Federer ($71 million), Justin Bieber ($58 million) and Ellen DeGeneres ($56 million).

Notable newcomers to this year's list included Hugh Jackman (No. 11), Channing Tatum (No. 23), Jennifer Lawrence (No.  49), Emma Stone (No. 84), Mila Kunis (No. 89),  Louis C.K. (No. 97) and Amy Poehler (No. 92). Among the 2013 drop-offs from the list were Adele, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, Johnny Depp, Julia Roberts, Reese Witherspoon and Elton John.
