Jennifer Aniston was interviewed by her We're The Millers co-star Jason Sudeikis for Glamour magazine, and was more candid than usual, commenting on everything from her fiance Justin Theroux to the advice she would give herself years ago when she was married to Brad Pitt.
When asked what she'd tell her 20-something self, Aniston responded, "Not to fret so much. I did OK in my twenties."
As for what she would tell her 30-something year old self, the 44-year-old said, "Go to therapy. Clean up all of the sh**. Clean up all of the toxins and the noise. Understand who you are. Educate yourself on the self."
The actress says it was therapy that helped her "undo a lot of things," adding, "If you're not happy, you can become happy. Happiness is a choice. That's the thing I really feel. ...You actually deserve to have a family. And once you meet yourself, and truly love yourself, then you attract that."
Now in a happy relationship, Aniston called out Theoroux's parental instincts, telling her co-star, "I know Justin, for instance, has extremely amazing paternal instincts. Because [growing up] he had to sort of become the parent. I think when you have to become the parent when you’re a younger person, you learn those instincts."
Though Sudeikis' chat with the actress seemed to stay positive, she did mention her beef with the paparazzi and tabloid media. "I don't like injustice. We're living in a time where, whether it's the Internet or tabloids, being sh**ty has become a sport. We're just grown-up bullies. We literally could not need to have our hearts more open than in these times."
