According to the news source, Superior Court Judge Michael Levanas stood by his March 29 order allowing Shanelle Gray, 34, guardianship over Winter, 15, until October 16. The judge said that he had yet to see evidence that Workman had repaired her relationship with her teenage daughter.

The order stemmed from court documents alleging that Workman physically and emotionally abused Winter.

Workman has denied the allegations, claiming that this family drama originated with her disapproval of Winter's romantic relationship with actor Cameron Palatas.

"I'm the one being abused here," she told the AP. "I'm doing this for all stage mothers. This could happen to any of them."

The trial concerning whether Gray's guardianship will be made permanent is scheduled for September 16.
