In the pilot episode for Rebel Wilson's new ABC comedy Super Fun Night (watch), Kimmie (Wilson) and her friends are turned away from the club even though they were thought to be on the list. The Bridesmaids star tells Cosmopolitan magazine that she based this scene on true events that occurred when she attempted to get into her Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Kendrick's birthday bash.

"That happened to me recently at Skybar," Wilson, 27, says of being turned away from the Hollywood hotspot. "Anna Kendrick was having her birthday party there, and it was a fancy place. So I get there with Hana Mae Lee from Pitch Perfect, and I've got a birthday gift so I'm clearly going to the party, and this big huge bouncer wouldn't even look us in the face. We were like, 'Hi' ...and then two models came and he let them in."

When asked if she used her star power to get into the venue, the actress jokes, "I didn't pull the Reese Witherspoon [laughs] (referring to Witherspoon's arrest where she reportedly asked the cop if he knew who she was). He had a list, and I said, 'Excuse me, we're on the list. We're here for Anna Kendrick's birthday party.' And then, eventually, he's like 'Okay, what's your name?'"

UPDATE:
Following the release of this story, Kendrick, 27, tweeted on Thursday (but later took down): "@RebelWilson ?? haven't thrown a bday party in years, esp not at a fancy bar, don't know what that story is, says ur 27, maybe a fake, so weird! x"

Kendrick and Wilson's Pitch Perfect co-star Anna Camp (The Mindy Project, True Blood) responded to the tweet: "@AnnaKendrick47 @RebelWilson That was my party!!! It rocked!!! I love you guys! #party."

To the delight of many Pitch Perfect fans, Wilson reveals that she does hang out with her co-stars quite a bit. "The Pitch Perfect cast is like a big gang. We might start out with five of us, but then because there are, like, 30 of us in the cast, it'll somehow become a big group. Elizabeth Banks had a party the other week, and suddenly, the whole gang was there."
