While the Hollywood Foreign Press Association has made a name for itself by throwing Tinseltown's best party every year at the Golden Globes, the organization showed that it also knows how to give back at the annual HFPA luncheon.

"People always think that it's all about the Golden Globes and it's not," said Eva Longoria, who acted as the event's emcee. "They do so much behind the scenes."

Stars came out in droves for this year's luncheon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday, where the HFPA signed over $1.6 million in grants to non-profit entertainment-related organizations and scholarship programs.

"The Hollywood Foreign Press does so much to support independent films and the type of films that all of us are working hard to allow the world to see," said Drinking Buddies star Olivia Wilde, who accepted a check for the Young Storytellers Foundation.

Nicole Kidman, Jonah Hill, Blair Underwood, Liam Hemsworth, Colin Farrell, Vince Vaughn and Vin Diesel were also among the attendees.
