What Drew an 'Ugly Cry' from Oprah?

Over the Labor Day weekend, Oprah Winfrey sought some spiritual enlightenment from T.D. Jakes at MegaFest. Not only was she enlightened by Jakes but was also brought to tears.

Oprah and Jakes, chief pastor of The Potter's House, united at MegaFest to film an installment of Oprah's Lifeclass, an Emmy-winning OWN series that displays all the fulfilling lessons that Oprah has learned in the past 25 years.

The 59-year-old media mogul admitted that she's a huge fan of Jakes, whom she constantly listens to "restore [her] soul," to the extent that she revealed she put off plans with her partner, Stedman Graham, for the weekend to listen to Jakes preach.

During their filming of Lifeclass, Oprah divulged that she was so deeply struck by one of Jakes' pontifical tangents that she was reduced to tears.

"[The point] that connected for me today was Bishop saying, 'Meet your family—mother in particular—where they are.' For me, it was understanding that all these years I wanted my family to be [something it wasn't] and recognizing that I'm the ten-gallon that everybody else has to take their stuff from, and that you cannot expect people who are not there to be able to give that to you," said Oprah.
