'Anchorman' Ron Burgundy Stars In Dodge Commercial

With the long-awaited release of Will Ferrell's Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, Ferrell has donned his red crushed-velvet suit, grown out his mustache, and is now trying to sell you a Dodge Durango as Ron Burgundy.
Paramount studios has partnered in a cross-promotion deal with Dodge, and Dodge has announced that Ron Burgundy, Ferrell's character in Anchorman, will be the new spokesperson for the car company.
In Anchorman, Ron Burgundy plays a no-nonsense, dedicated San Diego news reporter who keeps his ear to the ground and his eye on the prize. He is also a lovable idiot with no idea what is going on.
In this commercial, Burgundy advertises the amazing amenities of the Durango's glove box. In another, Burgundy uses a real horse to compare the Durango's horsepower.
The ads look hilarious, and it will be interesting to see how they pan out. Fans of Anchorman and the film's characters have waited a long time for a sequel, and it's clear that Dodge and Paramount hope these ads will whet fans' appetites.
Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues is set to hit theaters December 20.
