"She underwent a radical hysterectomy today," Howard Bragman, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star's rep, revealed to People. "The surgery went well and she is expected to make a complete recovery following a significant recuperation period."

According to Bragman, the 45-year-old ex to Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer was at high risk for the cancer, due to genetic issues, and met with doctors regularly to ensure a clean bill of health prior to the diagnosis.

She urges all women to be aware of genetic factors relating to women's cancers and get regular checkups."
