The video of two of Hollywood's most coveted actors Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey linking up for romance has finally arrived.
In promotion of the Dolce & Gabbana fragrance "The One," Johansson and McConaughey star as lovers in a nostalgic black-and-white short film directed by none other than Martin Scorsese.
With lyrics of the limitlessness of love from legendary Italian singer Mina's romantic ballad "Il cielo in una stanza" (lit. "The Sky in a Room"; fig. "In Paradise") as their soundtrack, the two spend a cherished afternoon together driving through the city and quixotically speculating about their past.
The film was shot in July in New York. On par with its enchanting ambiguity, the film makes no direct reference to a particular city, referring to it as "this city," but the Empire State Building can be seen in the view from McConaughey's character's balcony.
Watch the two-and-a-half-minute director's cut of the short film, entitled "Street of Dreams," in the video above to see Johansson and McConaughey play lovers with their heads in the clouds.
