On Tuesday, The American Museum of Natural History hosted CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute, a celeb-studded special event that honors American heroes who are making the world a better place through their actions.

ET was on the event's red carpet to speak with the evening's guests, and the stars opened up about the people who have been personal heroes to them in their lives, and the answers were surprisingly similar.

"My hero in real life would be my mother," said Piers Morgan of the CNN talk show Piers Morgan Live! "She would be a good winner here. She's utterly selfless. And I think that the real heroes in life are people who give, give, give and very little take. They're the ones who make a real difference. So my mother would be mine."

CNN news anchor Don Lemon shared his colleague's sentiment.

"My hero is my mother," Lemon said. "My mother who was a single mother for a long time and raised me to be where I am and every single time I'm on television, or she reads something about me, it just makes her proud. And that just means the world to me."

Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Terry Crews also said his mother was his hero, but especially called out his wife as having the biggest impact on him, saying, "I've been more married than I've been single, and I really owe it to her for all the inspiration and guidance over the years."
