According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rodas, who also died in the accident, was the CEO of Walker's specialty car dealership in Valencia, California called Always Evolving.

The car he was driving was a limited-edition Porsche Carrera GT valued at $359,000, according to Autoweek. A professional driver described the car as "scary" when talking to the car magazine, but Rodas has been quoted as calling it one of his favorite cars.

Rodas, who is a financial advisor for Merrill Lynch, started working for Walker after meeting him at a racetrack years ago.

At the time of Walker's death the seventh Fast & Furious movie was on hiatus from production for Thanksgiving. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie will still be released although it might not make the original release date of July 11.

In addition to Fast 7, Walker had two other films that had yet to be released: Hours, a Hurricane Katrina drama set for December, and Brick Mansions, which is in post-production.

Reps from Universal, the studio behind Fast & Furious, released the following statement: "All of us at Universal are heartbroken. Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans. We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."
