In the wake of Justin Bieber's DUI, close friend Kevin Hart has a few choice words for his pal that he shares with ET's Rocsi Diaz first, saying, "From a guy who's gotten DUI, learn from it," he says. "Everything happens for a reason." Watch the video and share it...
Kevin spoke to Rocsi from the set of his BET show Real Husbands of Hollywood: "I'm very close to Justin. I've got a lot of love for him. You know, I think right now it's just a lot of pressure on him. That media attention sometimes isn't good when you're going through things, and at the end of the day, Justin's young -- he's a teenager. So, when you're a teenager, you know, you do things that teenagers do, but because he's in the spotlight, these things are being magnified and the public is judging him from it."
Given the seriousness of a DUI arrest, Kevin is quick to volunteer that he has a unique perspective -- he's been there: "From a guy whose gotten DUI, learn from it. Everything happens for a reason," he says. "Granted, getting a DUI definitely changed me and has made me more responsible. ... I would think six times before I thought to doing it [again]. ... [Bieber] going to jail was [him] seeing the consequences from his actions."
Kevin's co-star Chris Rock also shared his perspective on Bieber's bust, declaring, "Ohhh, Justin, oh boy, he's taken too many Lindsay Lohan pills. You gotta lay off of them. I think he needs a new crew -- a new, lighter crew."
Bieber was arrested on suspicion of DUI and other charges early Thursday morning in Miami Beach, FL. His bail was set at $2,500 -- $1,000 for resisting without violence, $1,000 for DUI and $500 for driving with an expired driver's license. Kevin's DUI arrest occurred in Los Angeles in April 2013 after being pulled over for speeding and reportedly failing a breathalyzer test.
