Justin Bieber has broken his silence since being released from jail following his DUI arrest on Thursday.
The pop star posted a split image Friday to his Instagram page -- with one side showing himself waving to fans after being released from custody, and the other side featuring a similar photo of the King of Pop Michael Jackson flashing the peace sign to supporters. Bieber's post also includes the caption: "What more can they say."
Later in the afternoon, he reached out to his fans, telling his "Beliebers" that he will "forever be grateful" for their support:
YOU ARE ALL WORTHY NO MATTER WHAT ANYONE SAYS >> BE STRONG GOD IS WITH US ALL> MY BELIEBERS CHANGED MY LIFE> I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL— Justin Bieber (@justinbieber) January 24, 2014
Also on Friday, Bieber's father Jeremy commented for the first time on Justin's run-in with the law.
Jeremy was there when Justin was released from a Miami, Fla. jail on Thursday, but had yet to comment on his son's arrest. He tweeted:
I can protect my kids, but I can't protect them from you and your lies. Believe in the truth not in the lies of the enemy. #reallife— Jeremy Bieber (@JeremyBieber) January 24, 2014
UPDATE: A source close to Bieber's mom Pattie Mallette tells ET that following her son's arrest, she continues "being a mom," and "putting her son's best first, whatever that means at any time." The source adds, "There are things being said all over, but she is with him when he needs her and being there for him always. She would never do anything to bring harm to him."
The 19-year-old pop star was arrested after allegedly drag racing a rented Lamborghini while under the influence.
