Olivia Newton-John is gearing up for some summer lovin' when she begins her Las Vegas show this spring, and she recently sat down with ET to talk about how this residency is especially important to her given that a portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre. Olivia's older sister Rona passed away from brain cancer last May.

She actually postponed her Vegas residency to be with her family when Rona was first diagnosed.

"There was a time where I didn't think I'd sing again, but time is a wonderful healer. It doesn't heal everything but singing for me is my way of healing and it always has been," she told ET's Brooke Anderson. "Whenever I've gone through difficult times in my life music is what has helped me get through and [Rona] was always there for me, so I know, that I need to keep singing, she didn’t want me to stop."

The singer/actress will make her way to Flamingo Las Vegas to begin her Summer Nights residency inside the Donny & Marie Showroom on Tuesday, April 8. The performance, which will include an eight-piece band, will take "audiences on a musical journey through her life in film and music."

"I am thrilled to be able to call Las Vegas home for a while," says Olivia, 65. "I have performed here many times through the years and have had nothing but wonderful memories and I look forward to even more fun at the Flamingo. I am especially thrilled that a portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer and Wellness Centre."

Tickets for Olivia's Vegas show go on sale Friday, Feb. 7th at 10 a.m., and are available at any Las Vegas Caesars Entertainment Box Office, by phone at (702) 777-2782 or (855) 234-7469 or by visiting flamingolasvegas.com. Will you see the show?
