Ex-Cooking Channel Host Darryl Robinson Found Dead
Darryl Robinson, who hosted the Cooking Channel's Drink Up program, was discovered dead in his New York City apartment Wednesday.
According to The New York Post, Robinson was found laying face down on his bed, fully clothed, after a concerned friend reached out to police. There were no drugs or drug paraphernalia found in the apartment, the Post reports, and no foul play is suspected.
He was 50 years old.
"Upon learning of this morning's sad news, our thoughts go out to Darryl's family & friends," the Cooking Channel said in a statement.
According to his bio on Drink Up's website, Robinson's passion was gourmet cocktail-making, and he spent more than a decade honing the craft of mixology, serving as a consultant to many bar and restaurant owners.
The show aired in 2010, and still reruns on the channel.
