The California Highway Patrol report also said that a woman had apparently called 911 to report that the comedian's Mercedes was "weaving all over the roadway at slow speeds."

Kattan was reportedly not injured in the crash, and was able to exit his car.

According to the CHP, he appeared to be impaired and was then taken into custody for driving under the influence and booked at Van Nuys Jail.

Chris Kattan responded to the incident via Twitter, citing "exhaustion" as the cause of the accident.

"Those concerned or just adding gossip: I'm fine, passed all tests,
released without bail, have drivers license, cop offered to drive me
home ... If you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all," he also tweeted.

Kattan's case is set for arraignment on March 3, 2014 at the Van Nuys Courthouse.

Aside from his seven years on SNL, Kattan is best known for his roles in Corky Romano and A Night at the Roxbury.
