George Clooney Gets In Heated Altercation In Las Vegas

No, this isn't a never-before-seen scene out of Ocean's 11. George Clooney reportedly got into a heated argument with a casino owner in real life!

According to The Las Vegas Review-Journal, it all went down during a dinner that Clooney attended with Hotel-casino developer Steve Wynn, Wynn's wife Andrea Hissom, Clooney's business partners Rande Gerber and Michael Meldman and a few other powerhouse business people.

Wynn claims that after several shots of tequila, the 52-year-old actor "got drunk" and the two got in a verbal altercation that led to Clooney storming off while using the F-word. Wynn said that when one of the CAA execs "told a joke about former Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev," the Ocean's 11 star "threw a hissy fit."

Wynn added, "Then he sat down and started talking about the Affordable Care Act, and that's when I spoke up. ...He didn't like that either. I think my discussion about the Affordable Care Act was the straw that broke the camel's back."

However, the Oscar winner's version of the incident is a little different

"There were nine people at that table ...so you can ask them. ...Steve likes to go on rants," Clooney told the local paper in a statement. "He called the President an a**hole ...that is a fact ...I said the President was my longtime friend and then he said 'your friend is an a**hole.' ...At that point I told Steve that HE was an a**hole and I wasn't going to sit at his table while he was being such a jacka**."

This all took place at Botero restaurant, inside Wynn's Encore hotel, about two weeks ago. "And I walked out," Clooney continued. "There were obviously quite a few more adjectives and adverbs used by both of us. Those are all the facts. It had nothing to do with politics and everything to do with character."

"When he's drinking, he considers himself a close personal buddy of the president," Wynn said of the A-list star. "He got up and said, 'I don't have to listen to this (expletive) stuff. The only person who got excited at the table was George, and he ran off to another bar."

He added that Clooney's business partners were "mortified." The Las Vegas mogul said of the actor, "Clooney's fun to be with when he's sober. If you have a chance to drink with him, you want to get there early, and don't stay late. ...Everybody who's in my business, the casino business, knows to take actors with a grain of salt."
