The 'Chelsea Lately' host, who plans to leave E! at the end of the year, could be in negotiations for a new show with the digital media giant Neflix.

Chelsea Handler, who recently announced that she would be leaving E! as soon as her contract for her late-night talk show Chelsea Lately expires, may be finding a new home at the subscription-video service Netflix, according to a report in the New York Post.

According to a source familiar with the negotiations, Handler has already reached a deal with Netflix, who recently got into the original programming game, to much critical success.

However, there are other sources who claim that talks are still being held and nothing has been finalized. Neither Handler's reps nor Netflix's spokespeople have made any official comments, so it is yet to be seen if Handler will finalize a new deal.

Handler has mentioned in the past that she would be interested in moving to Netflix, or other digital media platforms, when she finally leaves E!

The comedian has been hosting Chelsea Lately since July 2007, and when she leaves at the end of 2014, she will have hosted the show for over seven years.

On her talk show, the 39-year-old comedian often pokes fun at her network, and talks about her dissatisfaction with the E! executives. While appearing on Howard Stern's satellite radio show in March, Handler called the cable network "a sad, sad place to live." She added, "They don't know what they're doing. They have no ideas. It's a failure."

If Handler does make a deal with Netflix, it's unclear if she will continue to create a talk-show style program, or venture into new comedic or possibly narrative territory. Until talks are finalized and official, Handler's possible future at the streaming media behemoth is unknown.
