Hip-Hip Legend and 'It Takes Two' Producer DJ E-Z Rock Dead At 46

Rapper and hip-hop producer Rodney Bryce, aka DJ E-Z Rock, producer of the hit song and album It Takes Two, died Sunday, April 27, at the age of 46.
Rob Base, DJ E-Z Rock's longtime collaborator and co-creator of It Takes Two, confirmed the news of E-Z Rock's passing.

E-Z Rock and Rob Base were partners in a Harlem-based hip-hop duo, which reached massive acclaim in the 1988 with the release of their album It Takes Two, the title track and the album were both certified platinum by the RIAA. The song has gone on to be one of the most enduring tracks in hip-hop from that time, and is used frequently in television, film and video games.

Rob Base posted a photo on Instagram in honor of E-Z Rock, writing, "R.I.P Skip (DJ E-Z Rock) my friend. My brother."

No further information regarding E-Z Rock's passing has been released, and the cause of his death is currently unknown.
