Media mogul Oprah Winfrey has reportedly joined ranks with Hollywood producer David Geffen and Oracle CEO Larry Ellison to make a bid for the team.
Variety quoted Lady O's spokesperson as saying, "Oprah is in discussions to make a bid for the Los Angeles Clippers should the team become available."
Yesterday on CBS This Morning, Oprah spoke out about Sterling's racist comments made public through a leaked audio recording.
"It just doesn't fit," said Oprah. "Something has to be done."
Donald's lifetime ban prohibits him from appearing at any NBA events, but he is still able to be an absentee owner unless three-quarters of the Board of Governors votes to force Donald to sell the team.
According to Fox News contributor Jim Gray, Donald isn't going out without a fight.
"I spoke to him again this morning and he reiterated -- after being able to digest this for about 24 hours now -- the teams not for sale and he won't be selling it," Jim said.
