Ed Sheeran: I Turned Down a Verified Tinder Account

Tinder has announced that they will be have verified accounts for celebrities, but there's one singer/songwriter that claims he's already turned down the dating application's offer.

Ed Sheeran says he was asked to be the first verified celebrity account on Tinder, but he declined. "I haven't got time to go on loads of dates. ...It just sounds quite creepy doing that," the 23-year-old said during a radio interview with Total Access radio. "You're just using your celebrity status to hook up with chicks."

That being said, Tinder denies offering the British singer a verified account. "We are only verifying 25 top celebrities to start," a statement from the company reads (viaBBC News).
