ET Teams Up with 'The Hill' for D.C.'s 'Nerd Prom'

ET's Nancy O'Dell will attend The Hill newspaper and Entertainment Tonight party Friday evening to celebrate the White House Correspondents' Dinner weekend at the Embassy of Canada.

As Hollywood descends on Washington D.C. this weekend for the White House Correspondents' Dinner, ET was with publisher of The Hill newspaper Adam Prather and Canadian Ambassador Gary Doer, getting them to dish on what we can expect from the festivities affectionately nicknamed D.C.'s "nerd prom."

"This is the most anticipated weekend of the year in Washington," Prather said. "I think the fact that The Hill, which is a publication that covers politics and policy, is joining forces with Entertainment Tonight at the embassy of Canada just signifies the importance of the weekend."

"What could be better?" said Doer. "We have the substance that's always a part of The Hill and we have the sizzle that's always a part of Entertainment Tonight."

Community star Joel McHale is headlining the WHCD, being just one of many celebrities to attend the event.

"It's kind of a weird, strangely unique combination of the fish of Washington getting with Hollywood celebrity and pop culture icons," said Prather. "It's just a really cool weekend."
