"I don't know what the plan is exactly, but I feel like were really lucky, because we have so many good people inside NBC and outside who could drop in. And that’s really fun," said Guthrie, 42. Just this week, former TODAY co-host Katie Couric was rumored to be joining Matt Lauer again on the morning show.

She added, "So, I feel like the show is going to be in great hands."

Guthrie also thinks her baby is going to be a huge TODAY fan, if it isn't already. "I will be an avid viewer. We all know that I will be up early with the baby. The baby is going to be a major TODAY show fan. Already is. Never misses the show," Guthrie quipped.

Who do you think should fill in for Guthrie while she's on maternity leave?

Fed Up
is a documentary about the American obesity epidemic, and was produced and narrated by Couric. It hits theaters May 9, 2014.
