Renowned radio DJ Casey Kasem has been found in Washington state.

According to Santa Monica Police, in a statement made to ABC News, the 82-year-old radio personality was found safe by Sheriffs in Kitsap Country, Washington on Wednesday evening, May 14.

A representative for his children released a comment soon after, stating, "We have received confirmation that Casey Kasem has been found. The family has grave concerns about his health and will do everything in their power to bring him back home."

Casey suffers from Lewy body dementia, a disease closely associated with Parkinson's. The condition has left Casey without the ability to talk or even to eat without the assistance of a feeding tube.

While Casey has been receiving treatment at a Santa Monica nursing home, his daughter Kerri has been in a protracted legal battle with her father's wife Jean Kasem, who has allegedly been refusing to allow Casey's children to see him, according to Kerri.

Recently, his daughter was able to visit her father for the first time in months, but later found out that he had been removed from the hospital, and no one knew where he was.

A judge granted Kerri temporary medical conservatorship on Monday, and ordered an investigation into the DJ's whereabouts when a lawyer representing Casey's wife said that he didn't know where the former Top 40 host was, but believed that he may have been moved out of the country.

The judge, "concerned" by the lawyer's comments, immediately ordered a probe into Casey's medical safety and location.

On Wednesday, Kerri officially filed the missing person's report hours before he was found in Washington.
