Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte officially kicked off the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil on Thursday, June 12, 2014, with a performance of We Are One -- the official song of this year's World Cup -- but it wasn't without a little controversy.
Critical viewers took to Twitter to complain about a sound issue that made it hard to hear the trio sing.
Just watched that World Cup opening ceremony thingy. I've heard better sound on long wave, in a tunnel..— Fred Boycott (@FredBoycott) June 12, 2014

It was initially reported that Lopez wouldn't be performing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremony, but the 44-year-old superstar did indeed bring her signature flair to the event in a dazzling green bodysuit.
Around one billion people are expected to watch the opening ceremony and match on TV, and more than 60,000 fans will be in Sao Paulo's Corinthians Arena.
The World Cup runs from June 12 to July 13, 2014 in Brazil.
