U.S. women's soccer goalkeeper Hope Solo was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence on Friday.

Police tell ET that alleged incident took place in at a family gathering at in Kirkland, Washington.

The former Dancing with the Stars contestant, 32, allegedly struck both her sister and her 17-year-old nephew at the party, Kirkland police spokesman Lt. Mike Murray told ET.

According to Murray, officers observed "visible injuries" on Solo's sister and nephew.

Hope will have a mandatory court appearance on Monday. She is currently being held without bail on two counts of fourth-degree assault.

This follows a 2012 incident in which Solo's then-fiance, NFL player Jerramy Stevens, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting Solo. Stevens was later released when a judge said there was not enough evidence to hold Stevens.

UPDATE:

Solo's attorney, Todd Maybrown, released a statement to ET denying the accusations his client faces, and claims that the soccer star is innocent.

"Hope is not guilty of any crime. In fact, our investigation reveals that Hope was assaulted and injured during this unfortunate incident. We look forward to the opportunity to present the true facts in court and to having this matter behind Hope very soon," Maybrown stated.

ET will continue to follow this story as it develops.
