ET exclusively sat down with Dr. Jill Biden to chat about her passion project -- finding ways to allow working parents more time with their families.

"It's absolutely imperative that children need their dads in their lives," said Jill.

Vice President Joe Biden was a single dad for five years after he lost his first wife and son in a car accident. Jill told us that during that time "he made sure he made the kids' conferences and he would have breakfast with them in the morning and he would make sure they had dinner or dessert at them at night when he came home."

In addition to Jill, President Barack Obama has also championed this initiative.

"This is deeply personal for the president and the first lady," said Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to the President of the United States. "This is an issue that's personal to everyone."

"I think the hardest part is finding the time," said Jill.
