He's the star of what will be this weekend's biggest blockbuster, and ET is taking a look back at the career of 43-year-old Mark Wahlberg using amazing old footage from our vault.
Today he's just under Tom Cruise as No. 28 on Forbes' World's Most Powerful Celebrities list, but we can't forget his humble beginnings as the leader of Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch.
The hip-hop group put out two albums before Mark began his transition to Calvin Klein underwear model.
"My mother still thinks I'm a virgin," Mark said in 1993.
From there, his resume continued to grow as acting roles began to pile in. He's had at least one movie out for every year from 1994 to now, except in 2011.
Mark can next be seen in Transformers: Age of Extinction opening June 27.
In the film, Mark is on the run as the Transformers wreak havoc from city to city around the globe in an effort to protect us from an extraterrestrial threat.
That's about all you need to know about the plot. What you really need to know is that there's plenty of explosions, cool transformations, Dinobots to go around.
Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li, Titus Welliver and TJ Miller join Optimus Prime (voiced by Peter Cullen) and his Autobot team for the summer blockbuster.
