Shia LaBeouf Plea Deal In the Works After 'Cabaret' Outburst

Shia LaBeouf showed up at Manhattan Criminal Court on Thursday, July 24, in New York City to face his criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and harassment charges after disturbing a performance of Cabaret at NYC's Studio 54 on June 26.

Though he refused to shave his neck beard for his court appearance, the 28-year-old actor did don a sleek, ironed suit. He, of course, was mobbed by a crowd of photographers and onlookers waiting to get a glimpse at the star as he headed into the courtroom.

LaBeouf's attorney and the district attorney requested an adjournment so they have more time to work towards a resolution/plea deal. LaBeouf's new court date is set for Sept. 10 unless both sides can come to an agreement before that time.

Back in June, the Cabaret cast and audience members were witness to the detaining of the Transformers star, who was taken away by police during intermission because he was allegedly being loud and disruptive during the show's first act. The NYPD tells ET that LaBeouf was also making threats. He was released on his own recognizance without having to post bail.

The actor was reportedly in tears as he was led away in handcuffs. According to one of ET's sources, a female reporter nearly fell from all the mayhem and he stopped to help her up.
