TODAY show fans have gone on a nine-month journey with co-anchor Savannah Guthrie during her pregnancy, and now it's time to meet her baby girl!
Vale Guthrie Feldman was born early Wednesday, August 13, and TODAY points out that "like her mom, she is apparently a morning person!" The bundle of joy weighed in at 8 lbs. 5 oz., and measured 19.5 inches long.
"I think we found heaven in this little hospital room in New York City," Guthrie, 42, gushed, adding that her daughter "has blue eyes, a little bit of blondish hair and the chubbiest cheeks you've ever seen."
The morning show co-anchor tweeted her and husband Mike Feldman's baby news early Thursday, writing: "My 3 a.m. wake-up call sounds a lot different now. Sweeter..."
She also shared a pic of her adorable tot. "Every new parent must want to shout their happy news to the world. So lucky we got to do it on @TODAYshow! We are bursting with joy. #Vale," she wrote. "Vale, on the other hand, slept through the whole thing."
TODAY anchor Matt Lauer shared his excitement for Guthrie's new family addition, writing: "Vale Guthrie Feldman is here! Savannah and Mike have a beautiful (and smart!) little girl! So much joy and excitement. We love her already!"
